Interior / Hospitality
Kilometrage Restaurant
Type: Interior / Hospitality
Status: Completed
Location: Herbert Samuel, Tel Aviv
Year: 2000
Concept
A restaurant interior that exposes raw materials, industrial systems, and the honest structure beneath the finish.
Material Honesty
Metal, timber, industrial surfaces, and warm light define a direct hospitality atmosphere.
Project Narrative
An industrial hospitality space built from exposed material, metal, timber, and direct atmosphere.
Kilometrage Restaurant is a restaurant by chef Idan Bushari, winner
of the television program The First Restaurant. The project creates
a place that reveals the real materials and systems beneath the
surface.
The design uses honest materials such as metal, timber, raw
surfaces, and industrial detailing. Instead of covering the existing
character of the space, the interior exposes it and turns structure,
lighting, and the central bar into the main spatial experience.
The result is a grounded restaurant environment with a direct,
tactile atmosphere: warm, industrial, and built around the energy of
food, service, and gathering.
